It starts with a spark. The conflict was inconsequential, a small flare-up
between a Robot Overlord and a Robot Master. But it only ever takes one spark.
Attacks started across the city. Civil uprisings by miners were joined by
Mavericks and Irregulars. Neo Arcadia launched a few very significant attacks
against businesses, attempting to cripple the ability of smaller companies to
compete with the companies they had a stronger influence over: Gimialla Mining
and Melda Ore, companies of European expatriates or South American
sympathizers.
The Mavericks established a foothold in the Lagrano Ruins, displacing the
Irregular presence there. Repeated attempts to dislodge them only drove them
deeper into Old Vancouver. A containment strategy was implemented by
Repliforce, who focused their strength on the Central Tower. Repeated
saturation bombings have left the tower and city core in poor shape, which
continues to make the security situation there tenuous.
"Humanitarian" efforts were established around the central tower, with
different groups operating repair tents for civilians. The Neo Arcadians
targeted these areas with a daring strike, leaving behind a stunning amount of
bloodshed and horror. The images of the wounded being gunned down by Pantheon
troopers boil in the minds of the Reploids in Giga City, and have driven many
of the more radical miners into the Maverick cause.
The most salient event to the rest of the world came on a day already being
called "Bloody Saturday". The Robot Masters, who had previously seemed
disinterested in Giga City, struck the weakened city with their full strength.
Dr. Wily, piloting a new WilyMachine, led a two-pronged attack. The main body
of the force took part in a strike on the central tower, with a second group
led by Bass drilling up into Gimialla's mines.
The resulting violence was catastrophic; a weakened Repliforce and Hunter force
could not stand up against the Robot Master assault. Bass and Lumine were said
by some to be working together to destroy their opposition, and the sheer
number of fresh Robot Masters resulted in the mine being badly damaged, large
quantities of Force Metal being stolen, and an ever-rising casualty count.
The citizens of Giga City could take no more. Leaders of the unauthorized miner
unions began to meet in secret meetings with the management of the major
corporations in the city on Friday, and a "cease fire" of sorts was announced
early on Sunday morning. An uneasy peace has come to Giga City, and not a
moment too soon: critical city services were being threatened by the
relentless violence.
With peace comes the possibility of hope. General's unyielding stand on Reploid
rights has earned him the favor of the people of Giga City. Negotiations
moderated by Repliforce are said to be planned between the leaders of the
unions and the corporations to establish a lasting peace in the city.
Appleman's "dirty little war" has ended.

2219 approaches. The world continues to turn. Wars continue to rage. Vendettas
are declared, scuffles break out in the streets; romances begin and end; deals
are made and broken. The players change, but the earth remains the same.
The Irregulars were fighting a war on a distant planet for the future of this
pockmarked world. Led by Epsilon, the Irregulars did battle against an
inhuman, unfeeling enemy for almost a year in anonymity. His Omnidroids and
the power of Devilmachine Vocabulary rivaled any force on Earth. They were the
shining hope of a world which had lost its ability to see wonder.
They failed.
Driven from the planet, the Irregulars made a desperate attempt to escape back
to the Earth. Did they plan to warn us? Marshal an army? Flee into the dark
parts of the world and attempt to un-see what they had seen? We may never
know. They were lured into a trap and torn apart from within even as they had
almost escaped the grasp of their relentless Adversary.
A crippled ship carrying the poison of a distant war crashed into the ruins of
another great warzone: Robotropolis, the cursed earth created by endless Robot
Master and Maverick battles for dominance. All the great armies of the world
attempted to draw the spoils of alien technology, but faced a terror they were
unprepared for: Reavers, the robotic creations of an unknown alien intellect.
Who made them, and why? Were they only intended to exterminate the Irregulars,
or does an alien armada continue to mass its forces just out of our sight,
waiting for the best time to strike?
The fiends were defeated on this day by a (relatively) unified world. The
Earth, for now, remains safe. But as the days pass, and more is learned, the
corridors of power echo with alarm.
As the United States government disassembles the alien ship to find its
secrets, it discovers a gruesome discovery. Written in mech-fluid on the floor
of the alien spaceship by a former schoolteacher's finger, moments before she
was finally brought down by the Reavers herself, is a single word.

Send me an @mail if you are open for temping for TP characters, or wish to be
considered for temping in future TPs so that my cup may once again runneth
over.
Sending a request does not guarantee consideration; staff looks mostly at your
availablity and your timelog to make sure you will be around when we need you.
We tend to choose people we feel are a) suited to the character we need and b)
in it for the long haul and not likely to jump ship.
If you have sent me a temp request @mail in the past, I have cleared out that
folder and you need to send this temp request @mail again. Note that this is
DIFFERENT from my last instructions regarding this. I want to start my list
over again because it's a bit outmodded, so if you want to request to be back
on the list, please request, or you will not be on the list.
BTW, if you are curious as to why only a few people from the non-staff list
were chosen for IO temping, it was because a large number of my potential
temps apped IO OCs and so were not able to temp other IOs.

Dr. Cossack sits on his chair in is lab. He places his ushakya on his head to
distract from the dark, baggy circles underneath his eyes. He keys his
communicator on, and speaks the dread words.
"Execute order 66."
This is the small hologram that the SOVbots see during their various duties.
The hive mind radios back their reply in unison. "IT WILL BE COMPLED WITH, MY
CREATOR."
A pair of SOVbots turn around and advance on Roll as she's baking, their
terrible claws clacking. The two SOVbots riding on Ride Chasers, helping Mike
and his Desperado with a store run look at each other with their cycloptic
eyes and nod at each other. The pair cut their acceleration. As Durandal
watches television, eating his snack, the two SOVbots commiting Feng Shui on
the furniture stop and turn towards the Hunter. Durandal looks left and right
as he feels like he's being watched. Meanwhile, Massimo, walking down the
corrider with his groceries, is confronted by a wave of SOVbots. He starts to
charge forwards valiently, only to stop, and look over his shoulder... to see
another wave of SOVbots behind him. And as Rock flying around the Tower on the
back of Rush, a SOVbot on the ground points upwards as a second starts to aim
an eyeslaser at the hero and his loyal mount.
Elsewhere, Doctor Light leans on his table, from a distrubance in his
acid-reflux tablets. He looks over to his plate, with a saddened and suprised
look... he knows what is going on. The Doctor turns around and gives the
approaching to SOVbots the Minnesota Slugger.
Rock and Light meet up later, luckily picked up by Storm Owl's Fortress V, and
there Light tells Rock the plan. "Rock, the plan, it is... to go back to the
Tower and steal back our cookies from Dr. Cossack!"
Congrats to Dr. Cossack who has amassed an impressive 500 +cookies!

BEARS all stop in shock and dismay.
CRESCENT GRIZZLY: Ah' tink ah' kin' tak' car' o' dis' 'ere Mav'rick. Na' yew
jus' leave dis' 'ere Ma'vrick ta moi. Go 'elp an' git a sponge ta' wahp 'im
offa grun' one' ah'm dun wit 'im.
SIGMA: No! Not Cajun Bear!
CRESCENT GRIZZLY smashes SIGMA face first into the concrete repeatedly and
shoves 200 cookies down SIGMA's throat. TENDERHEART BEAR runs away crying.
SIGMA spends the next two years in a coma.

particular issue, question or concern.
I am unwell and need to work on my comprehensive exam studying. Gemma is going
to be unavailable. Mesa will be totally unavailable. The remainder of staff
will probably be in various states of flux as they attend to their own holiday
cheer.
Complaints will merit the monkey consequences.
M3 will operate as normal after the new year.
