There is a Challenge Document stapled to the boards in Tartarus. This one is
written partially in a font that makes it look like an engraved invitation,
and whoever made it up did a fairly good job with the desktop publishing. In a
random touch of whimsy, there are stickers in the corners: the little gold
stars that a schoolteacher would put on a paper before handing it back.

Where the challenge for Crash Man used to lie now rests a small note of paper
with what appears to be a poorly-drawn Crash Bomb as a signature. The paper
has been glued there at an unknown time and is apparently, and obviously, from
Crash Man. It reads /exactly/ as follow: "Hey! I'll like, totally come. But be
warned that we Beta Masters will /PWN/ you! Well, I will anyway. Since, you
like, want to face me alone. Contact me if you aren't planning on backing up
now that you know I'm going to kick you so hard it'll hurt!" A few characters
were scribbled under the Crash Bomb, reading "8374!!" and "Scott blows, Wily
rocks"

Attention, Maverick Hunters. Having had a nice night to think about
it, I have decided that I'm going to start charging for the priviledge of
beating up your rookies and teaching them humility. I have better things to do
than train your Hunters for you, so I will only spar with the new meat, with
the exception of Alpha's brother, who already asked me to fight, for a sum of
2500 zenny per match.
As an added incentive, should they best me, the fee is refunded. Since
your new hotheads seem to have no lack of verbal bile, this hopefully will put
a damper on the current trend of too many fights. Or, at the very least, earn
me some well-deserved money.

Today another newcomer to the Tartarus dueling ring, Devotion, debuted in her
first match versus another up and comer, Noble Griffon. The fight was intense
with the small cyborg making excellent use of her speed and agility to
outmanuever the much larger reploid opponent time and time again. It seemed
like a very close match with Devotion's quick blade slowly wearing down the
heavy armor of Noble Griffon but in the end one solid blow was able to take
down the rookie battler and end the match.
Most people interviewed after the fight said that it looked like this unknown
girl showed promise and she definately garnered some fans with her risky but
effective tactics! At one point Devotion held her opponent completely
entralled with nothing more than her deep and calming stare! Some of her new
fans have said they have talked to the battler and claimed she could make the
meanest of unsavory characters fall to his knees in wonder from her gaze.
Most astonishing of all was near the end of the match when she apparently
gave Noble Eagle a kiss! That's right folks, she teleported right up and gave
him a smack on the cheek! But not soon after the large bird returned the favor
by crushing Devotion straight into the ground. That's gratitude for you!
Well, with Devotion's career starting off with a loss it seems she still made
a lasting impression. The crowd eagerly anticipates the next appearance of the
mysterious girl cyborg though they'll just have to deal with the usual
ruffians and loudmouths until then.

At first, all is dark, and then lights dimly turn on revealing the a figure
shrouded in mist from cleverly placed buckets of dry ice. Then the mist fades
and flames can be seen burning proudly and the lights suddenly turn revealing
the Master Chef Fire Man and casting him in sillouette. He thrusts his finger
forward pointing at the camera and booms his challenge
"I master chef Fire hereby challenge Roll to a duel at Wily World, let the
culinary dishes prove who is the mightiest chef the family!" He whips out a
long knife (which of course is stylized with flames) and tosses a skinned
chicken into the air and at the precise moment throws the knife stapling it to
the camera. While the picture is gone, Fire's voice can still be heard.
"What's the matter, Chicken?"

everywhere, spotlessly clean. Her right hand is currently replaced with a
cheese grater, which she is using to, naturally, grate cheese.
"Hmm? Oh! Hi there, Fire!" she says cheerfully, looking thoughtfully towards
the camera for a moment. And then she beams softly and declares, "I've wanted
to have a chance to cook with you again for such a long time! Challenge
accepted!"
The camera then fades out with the sound of a gong being sounded.

Last tuesday saw an unscheduled 'ninjafight' taking place between the
new Tartarus fighter Strider Hien and Shadow Man!
It was a close fight, with all the flips ninja tricks and sword use
you'd expect from a battle between such powerful opponents however in the end
Hien one with a flurry of strikes from his strange sword.
Or DID he?
As you would expect, this fight was full of surprises! Once we thought
it was over, Shadow Man got back up to stab Hien in the back! This was truly
an amazingly deceptive fight.
But unfortunately, this was not enough to give the Robot Master the
victory. In anger, Hien responded by a flurry of powerful and effective blows!
This hopefully marks the beginning of what is to be an exciting career
for Strider Hien!

Another Tartarus Pit Fight. Fri Aug 27 Hien

Regardless of all the commotion in the world, Tartarus continues to
fuction. Perhaps in defiance of the chaos washed across the world, or perhaps
they have no other option but to. However one of the more interesting matches
today was between Centaur Man, and Strider Hien.
It was a very close fight. Hien using his skills to rebound of walls to
counter plasma blasts from Centaur, and Centaur Man taking full advantage of
his diamond hard hoofs to detter Hien when he came in too close.
However there can only be one winner. For a moment or two, a double KO
was suspected, both opponents working themselves into a frenzy of poorly aimed
yet devestating attacks, however this time Strider Hien found himself on the
recieving end of a match ending blow, the Robot Master warrior having
teleported behind him to deliver a skull destroying blow with his hooves.
Regardless of the damage both recieved, that was it- the fat lady sang and did
so the tune of the horse! As a prize, the severely damaged Centaur Man took
Strider Hien's still white yet tattered scarf, but left his lance for Hien in
return. What a sport!
