=============================================================================== San Angeles - Airport The deafening apocalyptic never ending noise all around you benotes that you have entered the vicinity of the San Angeles Airport. Planes, jets, helicopters, and every kind of aerial vehicle you can imagine is constantly lifting off and landing on the multitude of landing pads and runways. Barrelling into the sky, scattered all around the airport are skinny observation towers and command towers, relaying messages to all the vehicles arriving and departing. The actual Airport itself is unbelievably -huge- to the point of staggering. Flights to and from Eurasia take place here as well, a limited spaceport offering shuttle flights for those tourists who want to see space firsthand. Out : San Angeles - Sierra Nevada Outskirts =============================================================================== San Angeles - Business District The towering buildings and massive stratoscrapers that dominate this landscape are unique, many of them designed by the finest architects on earth to replace those destroyed in 2200. This is the center of business for San Angeles, hundreds of companies holding their bases of operation in this, the largest unaligned city on the planet. Towers designed like shimmering spikes of light thrust into the sky, others looking like Greek, Japanese, Aztec, Persian, Egyptian, and European architecture on a scale of the gods themselves. This is truly a beautiful sight, and within these buildings, billions of zenny are won and lost on a daily basis. Pretty odd in this 23rd century world, ne? A sign above it reads, "Banner's Malt Shop", with 'Banner's' in large letters, and 'Malt Shop' in smaller ones, Malt written above Shop. A picture of a malt and a burger sits to the right of the text. Cain-Fu Dojo A traditional martial arts dojo, apparently. The sign above it reads "Cain-Fu". New desc coming. Maybe. Fashionable Fashions A small store in the posh part of town. It looks like one of those stores where big Hollywood movie stars would shop at. The window display has exquisite looking fashion designs which are all high priced. If you look on the door for business hours one would notice the following. Mon-Fri: Open 12pm-2pm. Saturdays: Open 12pm-1pm. Sunday: Closed Either this store doesn't get alot of business or those are the actual time this place is open. Of course would you really expect a feline to want to work more than 2 hours a day? Uncle Leo's Family Feedhole Uncle Leo's Family Feedhole. The biggest failure in redesign since Xenosaga Episode 2. Once a hole-in-the-ground cafe/bar, it is now attempting to be a family restaurant; this, however, is an outstanding failure due to the fact that all the previous employees- few as they were- were held over, giving the restaurant a split personality of sorts. Unveiled Reploids You see nothing special. =============================================================================== San Angeles - Downtown In downtown San Angeles, like much of the city, there is the constant noise of hover cars and people. Between the honking of cars and the constant shouting and talking, this area never knows silence. The buildings are the usual; cataclysmically tall, though many are completely covered in gigantic signs and advertisements, both normal and holographic in nature. Flashing lights, Coca-Cola signs, Marlboro signs, and any other drink, cigarette, hovercar company, and "adult" oriented stores are plastered alongside skyscrapers and buildings. If there's anything you need to buy, there's no doubt that it can be found here. Of note are the modern facilities of the Global News Network, the leader in all the world's news coverage. Police are frequent here, the main station resting near the teleporter nexus, making certain the San Angeles stays peaceful. The facilities here are modern, utilizing the latest in medical technologies, limited tissue printing, and antigravity and forcefields in a medical setting. The doctors here can treat any kind of patient, from the most badly wounded human or reploid to the most bizarre androids and bioroids around. If there's anyone they can't treat, they're probably totally unique. Like most hospitals, this building is utterly quiet, sound dampening fields adding to the restful state of the facility. Contents: Contents: Repair/Recovery Chamber Out : San Angeles - Wharf District =============================================================================== San Angeles - Historical District Entering this room make you look around for the DeLorean. It's as if you are stepping through periods of California history. Everything from real horse drawn buggies and rail-driven trolley cars to reploids hoverboarding can be seen traversing the landscape. The structures reflect this as well. Walking along you can pass a stucco Ranch and a two family Tudor in the same block. Many tourists come here to get a taste of yesterday and bother the residents with pictures and dumb questions. Barricaded Streets : San Angeles - Quake District North : San Angeles - Sierra Nevada Outskirts West : San Angeles - Residential District Northwest : San Angeles - Downtown =============================================================================== San Angeles - Industrial District The industrial district is perhaps the most varied of all the parts of San Angeles, countless products made and sold here. Quarries, self-contained forests, and massive ecologically friendly construction plants fill this place, and literally thousands of different items are made here, shipping out from San Angeles to all the rest of the world. While this place is clean and modern, the spectre of pollution still hangs unavoidably over some plants, and large treatment facilities minimize the impact this has on the environment of this otherwise beautiful city. Club Entrance : The Reploid Room - Entrance Foyer West : San Angeles - Business District South : San Angeles - Sierra Nevada Outskirts Southwest : San Angeles - Downtown =============================================================================== San Angeles - Mall District This area is filled with the hustle and bustle of people shopping. At ground level during the day, the street is filled with pedestrians. Both humans and robots are going about their daily lives in this busy place. About 30 feet up, the flow of air traffic starts. Flying cars, bikes, and the large public hovertransit vehicles zoom overhead in ordered streams, weaving at different levels through the forest of truely gigantic skyscrapers, all devoted to shopping and commerce. Lights controlling the flow of traffic are strung on laser beams that link the buildings. At ground level, small restraunts and independant shops line the road, which is restricted to foot traffic only. Occasionally a hovertransit will pull down into underground entrances to pick up and let off passengers. Designated underground parking lots for private vehicles are constantly in use, and they dart into and out of the flow of traffic overhead. Flanked by small shops are the entrances to massive buildings, known as Gigamalls, one to a side. Further up, each traffic level also has its own entrance where vehicles can pull in with ease. The GigaMalls here are known for having anything and everything you could ever want bad enough to spend the kind of money they charge for it here. Out : San Angeles - Business District =============================================================================== San Angeles - Memorial Cemetery Countless tombs mark this solemn place, rectangular white slabs lining the green grass of this cemetary from edge to edge. Almost as big as Arlington Cemetary in DC, this place has but one purpose: to commemorate those killed by the Robot Wars. A small commemoration hall and an outdoor gathering area mark the center, and arrayed around it are the oldest graves here, thousands of graves, many unidentified, all bearing the date 'January 27, 2200.' They are the dead of the city from the catastrophic first days of the war... when the Robot Masters decimated this city. It has since grown, now holding the dead of all the sons and daughters of the city, human, android, and reploid alike, who have given their lives in this bloody conflict. Out : San Angeles - Residential District =============================================================================== San Angeles - Quake District Behold, the destruction of the past. Not from war, not from the Mavericks or Robot Masters or even by humans themselves but from nature. Most of this area has been completely violated by the ground itself, though much of the destruction has been cleared, most of it remains. Toppled buildings no longer stand so erect and noble as the rest of the city. Even the ground itself remains disrupted, massive blades of rock miles long protrude at devastating angles as if Mother Earth herself struck down this part of San Angeles with a power the Mavericks and Masters may never know. Signs are posted -everywhere- warning anyone from entering this section of the city. Out : San Angeles - Historical District =============================================================================== San Angeles - Residential District The residential district is basically divided into two sections. Far above the ground run a multitude of highways and smaller roads with skyscrapers and buildings towering into the atmosphere. Here, high up, is the beautiful techno residential zone. Buildings are broad and massive here with platformed tops where malls, parks, and houses are built, shiny and beautiful. But far below the hustle and bustle on the ground below is a very different area. The buildings here, the same ones so beautiful up above are now degrading and decaying down below. Alleys are darker here, and sometimes the sun rarely shines at all with the scores of buildings and highways up above. Contents: Contents: San Angeles Mega Museum The Seraph's Roost Green Fields : San Angeles - Memorial Cemetery North : San Angeles - Wharf District East : San Angeles - Historical District Northeast : San Angeles - Downtown San Angeles Mega Museum The largest museum in the world, the San Angeles Mega Museum is split into several 30-story buildings covering at least ten blocks, and connected by walkways on alternate stories. Each building is covered in signs and banners, inside and out, labelling what exhibits are listed in each one. The security for the museum is tight, as only the elite of the San Angeles police force are permitted to perform guard duty. The Seraph's Roost No, there's nothing special about this apartment, in the heart of the top floors of one of the many tall apartment buildings in this area. Nothing special at all, except perhaps the nameplate outside is missing, in favor of a plain piece of printer paper scrawled with the words, 'NO SOLICITING!' and, much smaller: '(Trespassers will be violated.)' Just ignore the security bugs on the wall, and the occasional ominously dark Interpol personnel lurking around. There is nothing of interest here. =============================================================================== San Angeles - Sierra Nevada Outskirts The mountains that mark the eastern edge of San Angeles rise here, thick forested hills and peaks with hundreds of smaller houses tucked away up back roads, along valleys, and in the many hills, tens of thousands of people live. Many small businesses are located here, from wineries to technology companies, and this is a peaceful place... the kind of place the San Angeles government likes to show people as an example of housing, though the property values here are steep. The threat of forest fires is almost totally extinguished here, and many homes are built nestled right up against the forests themselves. There are even a few sky resorts here and there, carefully maintained environmental generators keeping it winter all year long, though many remain shut down during the summer months. Airport : San Angeles - Airport North : San Angeles - Industrial District West : San Angeles - Downtown South : San Angeles - Historical District Out : California =============================================================================== San Angeles - Wharf District Standing on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, the wharf district is the western edge of San Angeles. The prominant smell of this area is seawater, the wooden piers at one end of the area merging almost seamlessly into the modern plasteel ones at the other end. All sorts of ocean-based commerce is handled here, as is the generation of much of San Angeles's electricity, massive tide and wind-based power collectors storing electricity and distributing it all over the city. The San Angeles General Hospital, a massive modern medical facility, is located here as well, the hospital planners deciding that a view of the ocean might promote positive feelings in their patients. This is one of the busiest areas in town, even though ocean travel is far less important than it once was. However, many modern elements slip their way into the simple and effective design: Chrome surfaces, polished metal furniture, that sort of thing. Of the selection that doesn't quite fit in, her living room set takes prescedence. The couch is more of a loveseat, small but comfortable, and she has a pair of recliner chairs in case of guests. Perhaps for clients? Also noticable is the wide flatscreen TV perched upon her wall, over a fireplace. Still, it's a simple place, devoid of much in the way of art that one can find with a simple glance. It seems comfortable enough for one such as her. Nicole's Residence A very modern-looking residence. McGuire's Pub One of the out-of-the-way watering holes for salty sea dogs, troubled psyches and shady undesirables, McGuire's pub has that of an Irish flavor to it. The building that houses McGuire's is a warehouse of some age, used as a temporary place to store freight back in the days when shipping by water was commonplace. It was remodeled not too long ago, to house a garage for larger vehicles, and seperated in half, sectioned off, to allot several low-income, two room apartments. The road is on a steep incline down, and curves around before actually reaching the nearest pier. This gives McGuire's an access from the street, one of which is a circular stairwell going down into a cellar-like area, and then one is presented with the large, oaken, stain-glass windowed double doors. The back entrance is easily accessable, and has a majority of the parking - near the stoney beachhead. In fact, coming out the back way of McGuire's, one can easily view the ocean and the ships coming in. The parking lot is gravel, and often occupied by street and hover bikes, souped up automobiles, and the occasional transfer truck. It is often frequented by dock workers, prostitutes, bounty hunters, and gang members. Also, one can often hear loud rock and heavy metal music blaring from the expansive sound system, or perhaps the performance of any number of local artists. The floor extends from you in green marble tiles, and on the back wall one can see the GNN logo consisting of a golden relief of the word "GNN" on a field of green marble. Below that logo one can see the series of clocks listing the time in every major city in the world. To the sides of the entrance sit dual security stations. The resident GNN security staff sit there in their black uniforms with the golden GNN on the front patch is keeping careful watch on their screens of the cameras as well as the various scanners checking all those who enter for contraband. Directly ahead under the GNN logo one can see the large receptionist's desk where people are working diligently to schedule appointments, route calls, and assist people necessary for this thriving business. You notice that their chatter comes in a variety of different languages and dialects. The main area here is dominated by a singular yet curved green desk with a blue screen behind it. That area makes up the set where the general news broadcasts to the public are made. Off to another side one can find a small set used for the ever-popular interviews. This area can be configured to simply have two modern contoured chairs with the flag of the country involved freeze framed as flowing in the wind, or can be done with a smaller, more home style feeling with simple wooden chairs, desk, or table and a nice country house background. The industrial sector has stone quarries. The wharf has a power plant. The outskirts have snow-capped mountains. The residential area is where Mike Eildath used to live (which is the single most arcane clue, but an unavoidable one). The bombed out quake district is in the historical area. Downtown is a high-tech place. (as said by Scorpio.)
