Second Beginning
by Melady101

Here it is. Last chapter. The song in this doesn't really go with the story at all, but I like it so just go with it. It's Simple and Clean from Kingdom Hearts. Also this is 4 weeks late because first I was in Idaho for a long time with no way to load this AND right about the day I was returning home my great grandmother died so I had to go to her funeral.

Raptor: We just got back home at 12 last night. Disclaimer is the same as always so don't sue.

Second Beginning
Chapter 8

(Simple and Clean [Short Edit])

The 9/11 memorial was circled by three white balls of light. They move in a simultaneous pattern, awaiting something. If you looked close enough you might say you could see the lost souls walking around, but no one was around.

Clocks; one, ten, all of them; struck midnight and the three orbs separated. Two heading to the North and one to the West.

The one alone moved in elongated zigzag patterns, circling around lamp posts and constantly changing its altitude.

The other two moved in sync as they sped toward their destination, almost as if they were racing one another.

The single spirit arrived at its destination, a warehouse like home and it entered startling the women who was watching a motionless boy intently.

You're giving me too many things

The women acknowledged the spirits presence and moved away from the boy.

Lately you're all I need

The spirit's shape changed into who it was representing; the boy's lost memories and sank into his body.

You smiled at me and said,

The other two spirits arrived at a large house and they separated. One entered a dark room, catching an orange haired man's attention.

Don't get me wrong I love you

The man stepped away from a sleeping boy. The spirit's form became the boy's lost memories, and rejoined with the host.

But does that mean I have to meet you father?

In the next room the spirit first circled the glass jar, disturbing the darker being before morphing into its second form.

When we are older you'll understand

The older man stayed close to the boy, watching as the memories disappeared into its host's body.

What I meant when I said "No,

All three of the receivers still stayed the same; undisturbed by the spirit's return.

I don't think life is quite that simple"

When you walk away

The next day Zamar was the first to awaken. He jumped out of his bed quickly and looked at himself in the long mirror that hung on his closet door.

You don't hear me say please
Oh baby, don't go

His eyes grew wide with shock and he touched his face to make sure what he saw was true. “I'm….human.”

Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go

Then he remembered his brother and ran out of his room, not stopping when Tora called him back. Kenshin was sleeping in the hall and Zakkary's door was closed. Fearing the worst he rushed into the room.

Hold me

The noise woke Kenshin up, but all he did was move downstairs, not thinking his brothers would do anything that was too destructive.

Whatever lies beyond this morning
Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all
Nothing's like before

Zakkary was staring at his reflection too, not staring, glaring. His hand was in a tight fist and Zamar looked at him as if afraid.

Glass fell, reflecting Zamar's wide eyed expression and Zakkary's glare, but it also reflected the faces of the past Zakkary and Zamar, the ones who would most likely never be seen again.

Hold me
Whatever lies beyond this morning

The twins were glaring at each other when Kiyoshi entered the room. Zakkary was surrounded by a circle of glass, blood dripped from fresh cuts on his right hand. Then for the first time all three saw each other; face to face, eye to eye. The meeting confirmed that what they saw was real, that none of the stuff before had been a dream despite the fact that they didn't like it.

Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all

“And now I'm trapped. I had to say yes. I had to be stubborn and want to live. Now I'm stuck in this life.”

Nothing's like before

“Now we live our second time around…since I promised I can't get out. You guys can though. You can disappear, never come back.”

There was pause before Zamar (aka Grappler (in case there are some people who still don't know that's who he is)) placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. Kiyoshi (Destroyer (do I really need to name them?)) took a step closer and put his hand out, palm down. Zakkary (Zapper) looked at him curiously before Zamar placed his hand over Kiyoshi's. “As much as I'd hate to admit it Zapper we're a team. Now that I've seen how far we'll go to stay together I say there's no point in trying to separate us.”

Zakkary nodded and place his hand over Zamar's. The two glanced at each other and smirked. Soon they'd be back to their old selves and be fighting again, but for now they were just caught in the middle of their first and second relationship, making it about equal on both side of the good and bad. Kiyoshi was looking back and forth between them before finally speaking up.

“The Dark Axis will survive forever within us. We're a team; the Dark Axis trio. We're like-”

“Don't you dare say it Destroyer.” The twins said in unison, their armor appearing. Destroyer laughed nervously before putting on his own armor and all three looked at each other. “We look about like how we used too.” Zapper said taking some of the attachments on his left arm off and rolling up the sleeve. The gauze was still covering his shoulder so he quickly removed, barely flinching. What had been hidden wasn't any kind of cut of swelling, but a tattoo. “And if I'm not mistaken, I believe this is the mark of the Dark Axis; it seems to have survived even after I was reborn. I bet you guys still have it too.”

The other two nodded and waiting to see if there was more Zapper wanted to say, there was. “The gundams may have thought that they destroyed the Dark Axis, but because it lives within us it's still alive.”

When he finished the trio shouted in unison, “The Dark Axis survives FOREVER!!!”
