However there /are/ some types of NA characters that would be nice to have:
1. Competent SANE Individuals
2. Intelligent Individuals who will back up Elpizo and whomever when blarghing
about blargh and blargh.
3. Hardcore bigots.
4. People who don't worry about going off on their own and getting the job
done.
5. Silver Wing's(Internal Service Division. For specifics pester someone who
actually knows what this means).
6. Cerulean Tower. They're the support(Snipers, etc).

Psychologists aren't hard characters to roleplay. They're very very fun.
You don't need to know the very secrets of the Human psyche, you don't have to
understand what each part of the brain is for. You merely have to sit there
and ask people questions. You have to ask them. And ask them. And ask them.
You put mainly the whole focus of the scene on the other person, letting them
build up their character more and more.
However as of right now I'm basically the only psychologist. I'm of the
belief, however, that we could use more.

Specifically I'm referring to the loveable group of Corthborgs. Yes, I
am ICly Dr. Orion Corth, formally trained in multiple areas relating
specifically to cybernetics (such as implantation, design, and construction)
and a research scientist by trade. So, I require some characters that shall be
cyborged out. Normally, I'd advertise a few ideas from my Menagerie Group set,
but this time, I'd like to offer up a few rather interesting concepts I got
while browsing a comic book. They will be listed by Orion's filing system
(read: Project Name) and mostly consist of background/personality information,
along with some basic technical specifications.

A peaceful and personable farmer from the Mexican wastelands, <insert
name here> never liked the idea of AI. To him it seemed something of a waste;
why create artificial life when the world wasn't prosperous enough to support
the organic life with which it was richly abundant? <Name> eventually moved to
the city from his family farm, trying to find a way to supplement the
dwindling income he was earning. What he found was a travasty in his eyes.
People going unemployed and hungry because reploids and androids were
considerably cheaper to hire and employ.
This simple farmer was drawn quickly into the burgeoning Neo Arcadian
movement, seeing it as a way of venting his bubbling hate of the corporate
bureaucracy and 'illegitimate' species that was leaving his countrymen
unemployed. <Name> found himself rather brutally injured during the
anti-machine riots and was kept in Neo Arcadian care for a while before
returning to his farm.
His confidence in the government restored, <name> returned to farming;
though he found it more difficult than he once did with the lingering effects
of his injuries. A return visit to the Neo Arcadian government to inquire
about treatment and about fair prices for his produce lead to his meeting Dr.
Orion Corth. The good doctor here did a very thorough examination of <Name>
and suggested cybernetics. This, of course, took place shortly after the
Normandy Massacre. As <name> learned more and more of the UN's apparent
treachery and the growing Maverick threat, he felt it only prudent to join the
Neo Arcadian military, through Orion's cybernetics research program.
<Name> took it upon himself to ask Orion to make him capable of
standing up to the enemy without a need for extensive and expensive medical
care. Orion's solution was to give <name> a heavy cybernetic armor, partly a
tribute to the Power Armor Corps. and partly a reflection of <name>'s ability
to change from pacifist to violent when given proper provocation. The armor
retracts into permanently attached cyber-gauntlets, boots, and thoracic-armor.
His armor is always at hand and its damage dealing components are
always at the ready, so there is no need for the Armor ability. Size 4-5, due
to the size of the exo-armor, with a recommended 7 in endurance and 5's or 6's
in Strength and Velocity. Possible weakness and resistance combinations:
1) Ice/Sonic weak and Barrier/Explosive resistant.
2) Chemical/Timestopper/Water weak and Explosive resistant.
3) Electric/Fire weak and Barrier/Explosive resistant.
I think that's all of the tips I can add for this particular character
idea.

A native San Angelino, <insert name here> is a very troubled young
woman. Her family was left in ruins after the first Robot Master attack on San
Angeles. She was only five at the time of the attack, which is when she first
bore witness to death and the destruction that robots bring. <Name> was buried
under the burning ruins of her family home with her half-sister, where they
were trapped for several hours until rescue workers could retrieve them. In
the process of retrieving them, little <name> saw the dead and mauled bodies
of her parents. She was passed around, from foster family to foster family for
next two (or three?) years until she was adopted by another family.
<Name> was a very quiet child for all of this time, tending to play
with imaginary friends and to avoid speaking unless absolutely necessary. When
she began to come out of her shell in late 2213, <name> found her world rocked
to the core once again in early February of 2214. Repliforce recruits went
Maverick and attacked San Angeles. More importantly, the raging battle that
ensued from the attack very nearly killed her and destroyed her adoptive
family's home.
For the past four years, <name> has been trying to 'discover' herself
and the reason for her seeming misfortune. To this end, she has completed her
undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Parapsychology and has since begun
work on a Master's program for both. Or at least she had been attending a
Master's program in San Angeles until the recent attack of the Robot Masters
on the anniversary of their first attack on the nation-state. The destruction
they wreaked once again destroyed her life. Her adoptive parents were killed
in the melee and she sank into a deeper depressive state than she had ever
before. That is, until she heard Elpizo's words and decided to join Neo
Arcadia.

Bearing a few unusual scars from the wounds she incurred during the
various attacks on San Angeles that she has borne witness to over the years,
<name> has no greater scar than the ones on her mind. <Name> is diagnosed with
an extreme proclivity toward clinical depression, as well as emotional
detachment and disassociation issues. Beyond just those, she has a severe hate
for artificially intelligent robotic life rivalling Elpizo and Templar Fefnir
in magnitude. She blames them for the destruction of her family, her life, and
her body. Noteably, her body is almost entirely in tact, except for a small
number of scars. In joining Neo Arcadia, she sought to make herself the
greatest possible threat to robotic life. As such, <name> sought out
cybernetic modification for the express purpose of being able to forcibly rot
out electronic minds.
To that end, Orion Corth offered a surprisingly limited set of
cybernetic augmentations. Orion provided <name> a vehicular control rig, which
allows her to cybernetically control vehicles (ride armors?) and drones to
which she can connect. Her drones are all standard non-intelligent security
drones and are controlled many at a time by use of a remote control unit into
which she jacks for combat and security purposes.
Possible Armor ability to represent her stats and to represent her
drone swarm's stats. Definitely has Drive and Hacking abilities. Other
requests for suggestions should be handled via @mail or page.

So I pestered various people in NA and currently this is the listing of what
we want:
Fighters. We want fighters. We /need/ fighters. If you want to be some sort of
die hard death bringer we want /you/.
We also want some fighters who can drive/ride_armor. We keep having to drag
scientists into battle.
We have a surplus of Hackers. We have so many hackers that it's obscene.
Like..1/3 of the active NA players are hackers!
So here's some ideas if you're struggling:
Children of Eve follower who joined up with NA so they could further "spread
the message".
Terrain Armor expert. TA requires at least drive to use, but recommended to
have Ride Armor if you're going to be an expert in it. This doesn't mean you
get to use it non-stop. For help in statting it up so it reflects it perfectly
I recommend pestering someone like Io...but shhh >.>
Frontline Combatants. We need more people who are designed to run into the
middle of the battlefield and unload pain. Currently have 4.
Ninjas. For some odd reason our WDS have seemed to vanish, and while this may
seem like a good showing of their ninja might it also means we usually only
have Sheena to rely on for ninja-tastic fun.

A lot of people have stated interest in joinin the Mavericks.
As you all know currently the FC's are Closed instead of Closing. This means
there is no waiting period. If you succeed in getting the FC you straight up
get it.
That's fine and dandy. I think it's one of the main reasons people are
actually interested in the Mavericks at the moment. However, there is an issue
that people are mostly ignoring.
As Gemma says: "Do not app a follower."
You see, people app the personality of a Maverick and they then decide: "Hey,
my guy will follow the orders of Sigma and Doppler. He won't do anything until
they say blah blah."
This does not work, at all. As it stands Sigma and Doppler are usually busy
IRL. They show up, they handle faction stuff but they don't specifically order
around each and every single person.
Don't be afraid to be a Maverick who goes out there, socializes with the enemy
and plans out attacks. If it's a major thing that's when you doublecheck with
the bosses, but if it's a minor raid/attack it's fine.
Oh...and Cyborg Mavericks? Vicious. They're treated piss awful(Except Doppler
and Overclock). They're the bottom of the barrel.
Psst, Overclock Creations, while being Cyborgs, can be fun. Talk with gemma
about a potentially new one. One that'll be spiffy!

Yakuza Affiliates Mon Apr 18 Chet

As you know, the Yakuza is an international organization: we have ties to
criminal gangs all over the world, some of them long-time allies, other ones
potentially new allies. Applying for the head of one of these is a quick way
to minor power within the Yakuza, and plot-control via your NPCs and assets.
It's also possible to apply for nefarious corporate entities (I.E., Loath
Enterprises), following the corporate crime syndicate model of the Yakuza - or
you could just be a scientist/businessman/etc. that sees the value of the
Yakuza and trades money/technology for protection and help. Ideas:
- Boss Caligula and Caligula Records. Boss Caligula was a gangsta from San
Angeles with dreams of rapping - however, he found crime was easier (and his
rap wasn't very good), so he moved to Seattle and rose up through the ranks of
gangstas, pimps, and dealers, using the money from his criminal empire to fund
his dream - a giant freaking tower with 'Caligula Records' in gold plating on
the front.
- Hell's Angels. The Hell's Angels are an RL, 20th century ally of the Yakuza,
trading guns for high quality Japanese crystal meth. They control distribution
networks all over the west coast of the USA, and have been known to extract
protection money.
- Halloween Boys and Jack Lantern. In the criminal void created by the Maverick
conquest of Europe, the Halloween Boys rose up, a gang of Reploids patterning
themselves after creatures of the night. They roam the war-torn wastelands of
the Europe, and sell drugs and steal Reploid parts inside its cities. Many of
these boys might have the Virus installed in them (there can also be Halloween
Girls, despite the group's sexist name! ;) )
- The Triads and the Maibatsu, our friends in China. They're also an
international gang, with ties wherever there are large bodies of Chinese
immigrants, although this is mostly the Triads - the Triads are a gang with
mostly street traditions, whereas the Maibatsu have been known to use
corporations and legitimate businesses as a cover for their illicit activities.
- The American/Sicilian Mafia! Come on, folks! The Sopranos! Who doesn't want
to be a low-level soldier, minor family head, or all-out kingpin? The Mafia
are some of the oldest allies of the Yakuza, thanks to the Loath family (LEX
LOATH DAMMIT). Fah-gettaboutit.
- The Irish Mob, or the English Mob - ever seen Snatch, Lock Stock and Two
Smoking Barrels, etc.? Or the black guy from Ocean's Eleven! Even Britain and
their friends in Ireland have organized crime!
- AFRICA. Former members of the militia, former enforcers for some of the
tinpot dictators that Wily replaced, members of the UAC (Union of African
Corporations, secretly owned by Mikage International, after Doji was tied to
the Bluecoat T-Rex scandal), corrupt governmental members, smugglers and
mercs, street-level gangs, guerillas in the jungle...Anything.
- South America! Smugglers, more guerillas, and a long tradition of massive
urban gangs in Brazil. Brazilian cities have long known to be crime-ridden, to
the extent that their gangs often have the same types of weaponry as the
military.
- The Russian Mafia! With the Civil War in Russia still raging, you could get
mad power. MAD POWER. Also, the head of a Russian crime syndicate is called a
'King of Thieves'. How can you pass that up?

Profile: A Reploid speficially created by Repliforce officals to serve as a
heavy assault unit, and mobile weapons battery Bolt Blue is, in short, a
walking power station. He had the capability to fill the batteries and kick
start the power cores of fallen comrades, or extuinguish life through a super
charged array of sparks. This great responcibility, and power that was granted
to the Reploid however left him somewhat aloof, self assured and big headed
about his own abilities. Lazily conducting his duty, and rarely following
orders to the letter eventually led to his expulsion from Repliforce.
Considering the great power he held, however, he was given a choice:
deactivation, or serving as a mobile power plant for the masses. His
salvation, however, game in the form of an invitation from the Maverick
Hunters to join their elite ranks. Attaining the neccessary permission and
moving in, he now serves as a powerful fighter for their cause. His expulsion
from the Repliforce has, additionally, caused him to buck up his ideas and now
tries to always follow through with orders to the full.

killings, in addition to being a drug runner and bosozuku enforcer.

Lizard Nakatoni owns many businesses on behalf of the Yakuza, with illicit
activities behind them. His favorite is Club Tokyo, a premier VIP-only den of
drugs, prostitution, and gambling, where he spends most of his day serving the
Yakuza elite, safe from the street-trash whom he considers himself above. With
a Japanese and Interpol record longer than his left arm in everything from
rackateering to gun-running, he's out on the street again, with new tattoos
giving him incredible speed and deadly combat abilities. He now functions as
an enforcer for his club, with unparalleled agility, wall-climbing ability,
and even a cloaking matrix that allows him to blend in with his environment,
for quiet escapes.

Been looking for a good support character? An excuse to be a specialized
hacker? Wonder why Nana is 77?
Because I could and thought it made sense, I wrote in my history that Nana was
the 77th model of a line of high-quality, well-trained datatechs, many of whom
were explicitly designed to be sysadmin, all of whom were good at learning
tricks, some less legal than others, to supplement their abilities (read:
HACKERS).
Since there are at least 77 of them, if you're looking for a good hacker
character, may I suggest a CyComm Datatech? You could be, I don't know, Hachi.
:D
And if designing an avatar is the hard part, I have already RPed that Nana has
a friend who has the Apollo to her Athena and is presumably one of these same
models, and I will certainly give extra points to anyone who continues the
Greek gods and goddesses theme, because I'm a great mythology nerd.
So, yeah, there are some ideas, I guess. Noncombatant superhackers! They would
also make great operators, spotters, interceptors, etc. If this sounds like a
great idea but you need help fleshing it out, I have a few ideas and I'd be
more than happy to help.

With the new leadership of the Yakuza, organizations other than the traditional
familes have a real chance to shine, and Geetz is only furthering the cause,
by forming his own army. The army would be specifically used for the more
public acts of the Yakuza, when finesse is not the most prudent act.
Join the Maluuni Mikono, or The Unlucky Hands (a play on what the word 'yakuza'
represents). They would primarily be a guard unit for the more prominent
members, but also act as bruisers and thugs.
Note, this is just an idea I'm throwing around, if people like it, I'll go with
it, if they dont like it or hate it, I'll trash it. Just lemme know. :)

You've probably heard this more than once, but Interpol /really/ needs people
willing to go out and investigate things. You won't be wanting for RP. Why?
You would be amazed about how many little RP hooks people are willing to throw
down, many of which fall into what Interpol is supposed to be doing! (Chet, in
particular, seems to throw down a new hook every day.)
If you're bored of things as they are on M3 but usually play someone of a
combat capacity, I'd like to ask that you give this kind of character a try!
We need them and there's no shortage of RP to be had in this.
For clarification, I mean 'investigators' as in 'people who physically go out
and check out crime scenes.' We're already good on hacker types, although I
don't believe we have very many interceptors actively played as it is (Ebony
Fox notwithstanding).
The short of it? More investigators please! Non-combatants preferred. I'm very
certain you won't regret it!
