Just an FYI post:
If you have an interest in hitting/attacking/investigating Umbrella, your
contact points for this plot are generally myself, Leo, and of course Wesker
or anyone else playing involved Umbrella characters.
Just so you know, if you want to infiltrate or attack the Umbrella facility,
talk to me. One small clarification, though: I wasn't here for the original
Umbrella TP, so I'm not a good source of information about THAT. A better
person to talk to would be Leo, or possibly Tron Bonne because she remembers
everything.

After making short work of Baby Godzilla, I've gone on to raze most of
Hong Kong. The city is rebuilt, has local flavor, and as is seedy as you could

It is 2218. More than a year has passed since Epsilon and his Omnidroids left
Earth on a mission to seek the salvation of civilization among the stars.
Epsilon would barely recognize the Earth only one year removed from his
departure.
Nation-states have returned to the world's vocabulary with the collapse and
slow reformation of the United Nations. Australia has become a paranoid police
state, tested by terrorism and continued Maverick attacks. Its justification
is the razed ruins of Europe and the expatriates now filling its shores.
Africa is a free continent, unified by the central planning legacy of Albert
W. Wily, doctor and madman.
The United States of America has never been more needed, but has never been
weaker in the modern era. Its neighbor to the south, the fascist Aztlan, is
the first credible threat the United States has ever faced on its own
continent. Across the ocean, Japan, its Yakuza shattered, is beginning to
learn how to be a free nation. There are no more safe places on Earth and
Eurasia, the last jewel of the old United Nations, is threatened from within.
The Maverick cause is ascendant. The mutation of the Maverick Virus into the
Sigma Virus threatens everyone who has any contact with technology. Any
Reploid or cyborg can become a Maverick. Even inanimate objects previously
thought to be safe are no longer as trustworthy as they once were. Sigma's
omnipresent threat to humanity is visible in every "Certified Sigma Virus
Free" sticker adhered to everything from consumer electronics to industrial
equipment.
Lumine is a new and immediate threat to the armies of the world. As the power
of the Buster is no longer under the exclusive control of its original
designers, other organizations wish to gain the Buster. Tensions between the
Maverick Hunters and Repliforce are increasingly strained. Interpol has
attempted espionage against the Hunters, and the Hunters have in turn briefly
infiltrated Red Alert to try to get answers. No one can be trusted as they
once were.
The discovery of Force Metal promises to escalate the conflict further. Gaining
access to Force Metal and a means to refine it into a weaponized form is one
of the primary concerns of every major organization in the world. The one known
Force Metal Generator that resides in the chest of Cinnamon may be this
century's version of the nuclear football: an item that must be protected at
any and all costs.
These factors, combined with Epsilon's extended absence, have put strain on the
Irregular Overlord organization. While the Overlords have been content to
pursue their own individual agendas, the Irregulars have been systematically
preparing for a new campaign, following Epsilon's master plan. The perceived
weakness of the Great Powers and a rising tide of global instability has
emboldened the renegade organization. The time has come for them to take
action.

Irregular Overlords
Part Deux
Irregular Overlord OCs are now open for application.
RULES YOU WILL READ OR FACE DESTRUCTION
1. The application period begins on September 19, 2005 and ends on September
26, 2005 at 5 pm. No further Irregular Overlord OC applications will be
accepted after that time. They will not reopen in the foreseeable future. Do
not beg.
2. The one month app waiting period is waived for IO apps due to their brief
app window.
3. IO applications are to be sent to civilians@megamanmush.com. The title of
your app email should read IO - Character Name - Overlord/Irregular (as
applicable). Apps that do not follow this format may not be read.
4. Leo is the IO staffer for the duration of the TP. Do not ask other staffers
about IO apps; they will have no answers for you. Paging Leo and nagging about
your app status is an excellent way to have it read dead last.
5. IO OCs count against your character total. However, most of you will have
your fourth OC slot open, so this should not be a concern.
6. If you had an IO OC in the past TP, and it still exists in the database,
you may pick the character back up by @mailing me and telling me to unshelve
it. It will be reactivated when things officially get underway.

IO2: App Tips Mon Sep 19 Leo

Treat these applications as apps for any other OC type. These are NOT
short-term characters, as this TP will be continuing for an extended period.
While you don't need to worry about making times, you should be able to commit
to showing up for scheduled scenes.
IO OCs should be coherent and interesting. While humor is encouraged in the
faction, things which are obviously stupid - and worse, UNFUNNY - will be
rejected. "Funny" is judged by what Leo and Arcturus think of it.
The "iWhatever" thing is played out. Characters which app names like that will
be *very* difficult to get.
For those of you who would prefer a stock character, staff has created several
IO concepts:
* Rick Wolfwood, Irregular ninja
* Blade Man, Overlord disaster area
* Survivor Tofu, Irregular foodstuff
* Bullet Man, Overlord gunslinger
* Sugar, the Nurse

Umbrella: Summary Mon Sep 26 Leo

At the beginning of the 23rd century, the Umbrella Corporation became the
largest commercial entity in the world. Nine out of ten homes contained its
products. Its financial and political influence was felt everywhere. In
public, it was the world's largest supplier of computer technology,
pharmaceutical products and health care. But, even unknown to its own
employees, its massive profits were generated from military usage, genetic
experimentation and viral weaponry.
Four years ago, the Raccoon City incident revealed the true nature of the
Umbrella Corporation. A terrified world sent its full strength into the
American Midwest to cleanse the threat of the T-Virus from the world, and
destroy Alexa Ashford's mad scheme to recreate humanity in her own ghoulish
image. They believed themselves to be successful in destroying the heart of
the corporation, and the world's governments began the much harder task of
dismantling Umbrella's capabilities to impose its will through force.
But that was not sufficient. Even as the company was visibly broken down, its
darker elements retreated and waited out the storm. As the United Nations
crumbled from within, the wicked men who had been at the heart of the
company's plans re-emerged, taking control of the company once more and
resuming their nefarious plans. Led by Albert Wesker, a man who sacrificed his
very humanity for strength and immortality, these men represent the most
brilliant minds of their generation, and are turned to one goal: the
acquisition of power.
Aztlan, hungry for an edge in their war against AI, joined forces with the
ascendant Umbrella Corporation. The alliance is a marriage of convenience,
with neither side truly trusting the other, but nonetheless poses a
significant threat to the safety of the free world. Analysts have predicted
that Umbrella, unrestricted from the United States' traditionally strict
biological research regulations, may be able to out-maneuver and out-innovate
its nearest competitors. Some have even suggested that Dr. Ciel Mallory's
enhanced human program may begin to see an outlet in the marketplace with
Umbrella's continued presence, though Dr. Mallory has not made any statements
either way as of yet.
Having combined their forces, Elpizo and Albert Wesker have become two of the
most powerful men in the world. Combined, the two organizations are a
financial and military juggernaut which demands the attention of the major
armies of the world. With the potential for the creation of a new superpower,
the scattered remains of Black SHIELD have begun to take notice. Many wicked
men seek a new master to serve, one who can finally realize their dreams of
wealth and power.
A new American century is at hand.

Apping UMBRELLA Mon Sep 26 Gemma

Most Umbrella FCs are open for applications starting today.
Umbrella OCs are also open for applications.
Umbrella has close corporate ties to Neo Arcadia right now, and works many
projects within the Neo Arcadian state. They are allies of convenience.
However, to simplify adminstrative matters, Umbrella OCs/FCs currently have
the Neo Arcadian flag. Apps for them will be sent to the Neo Arcadian box.
Rules for Umbrella are as follows:
Under some circuimstances, an Umbrella employee may have Power Armor. This does
not mean that they share this technology with the regular Neo Arcadians. In
turn, Umbrella employees do not have access to a "full" (42) E-human process.
What they do have access to are partial genetic manipulations, and "monstrous"
genetic manipulations. In other words: your freaks, your outcasts, your really
strange and bizzare bio e-human concepts: app them here, instead of as
standard Neo Arcadian army characters. A combat-level genetically manipulated
Umbrella character will not look human (app an NA e-human instead). E-humans
therefore generally are not monsterous freaks (app an Umbrella experiment
instead). Gotcha? Good.
Also, before you ask, William Wiggin is the ONLY Umbrella-affiliated Strider--
if you are apping an NA Strider, continue as normal apping them as White
Dragons.
