Day 17  2001.12.12

Our last day in Phoenix, we spent most of it at home. For lunch we went to Jim's, and came back via the Cave Creek Freeway.

Cave Creek was a destination for consumption patients. The dry, clean air was good for them, in the absence of antibiotics.  They often stayed in tiny cabins like this one.
This was at the local historical society.

Also there, 24 kinds of barbed wire! Out of thousands!

Later at the local shopping mall, I snapped this picture. I think Damocles lives over there.

And for that hint of foreign parts, they even have a roundabout. Of course, there's exensive instructions posted before it.
