12. Zako Zako Hour! Time for commentary! "Zako-" "Zako-" "Hour!" Rele waved to the audience. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Zako Zako hour!" "It's time to over the contestants to see how they might stand in the next round," Shute announced. And, of course, Genki flubbed his line in the excitement. "I'm in the next round!" he sing-sang. "I'm in the next round! I'm gonna wi-in!" "No you're not!" Shute snapped. Genki snapped back, "How do you know?!" "Boys! Boys, please!" Rele pushed Shute away from the tiny Gundam. "Let's just talk about the competitors!" "I already know Captain's going to win!" Shute yelled. "How's that, squishy boy?" Genki growled. A montage of shots of Captain played on the screen. Shute narrated, pointing out various things as they popped up. "Well, for one thing, Captain's already got a win under his belt, so we know he's a crowd favorite. Second of all, he's got a good blend of colors that match his armor and catch the people's eye! He's a shoe-in!" "No way! I'm gonna win this one!" Genki narrated "his" montage, pointing to things on the Daishogun with his microphone. "I'm almost entirely gold! You know how much organics love gold! Not to mention I've got frilly wing motifs, huge crested v-fins, and a mustache! You've gotta love somebody with a mustache!" "I'm sorry, I don't agree with either of you." It was now Rele's turn. "I do actually believe, although I can't believe I believe it, that Deathscythe will win. Not only his armor intricate, but it also follows a common theme, something which both of your competitors lack. Also, that theme is a dragon, and who happens to be reading this fanfiction?" Shute and Genki sighed and droned, "Dragon-loving anime fangirls." Genki tapped his chin. "And what about Destroyer Dom?" The three children went, "Uh..." "Well..." Rele scratched her head. "He's... purple?" "He's lots of different purples," Shute admitted. "Things do not look good for the Dark Axis," Genki summarized. Dom zoomed across the stage, crying and screaming, "Dom not pretty!" Zako soldiers in the audience booed and began to throw things at the kids. Shute paniced as he dodged a Zako-sized axe. "Um, for the future of the fandom-" "GUNDAMANIAC! YEAH!" | |
