SD Gundam Force isn't the first super deformed Gundam series, nor is it the last. It started in the 1980's when a highschooler, Koji Yokoi, contributed the first SD-style drawing to a magazine. The style interested the magazine's chief editor, and the SD Gundam sub-franchise was born!

While it first started as short manga and animated parodies of the main shows, it didn't take long for more independent stories to appear. The first was SD Sengokuden, featuring the Musha Gundams of Ark.

I myself am more interested in the original and quasi-original stories, but I will at least list everything I can find here. :3

Quick notes on console names listed above:
• Famicom is the Japanese name for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
• Super Famicom is, thusly, the Japanese equivalent of the Super Nintendo.
• I have no idea what the Sufami Turbo is. o.O
• PSX is Playstation.
• WS and WSC are WonderSwan and WonderSwan Color, respectively. SwanCrystal is another WS console, and they're all portable systems similar to the Gameboy series.
• i-αppli is, as far as I can tell, a type of cellphone that supports games.
