1. Knitting
Bakunetsumaru looked over Keiko's shoulder. She was winding a long piece of thread between two enormous nails. He raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
"Knitting."
He looked up to Keiko's face; she was deep in concentration, and wouldn't look away from her hands. "Knitting?"
"Mm hmm."
Baku tilted his head. "What's knitting?"
"Making clothes out of yarn." Keiko's "knitting" began to form a fold of cloth. Baku brushed his fingers across the stitches, and they tickled his shell.
"What are you making?"
"Slippers for Shute."
"Why?"
"It's cold on the Gundamusai."
Baku scratched his head. "It is?"
The knitting kept getting longer and longer. "Mm hmm."
Baku sighed, bored. "Huh."
"Yep."
Keiko's fingers flew over the nails, the pattern getting more complex and much longer. Bakunetsumaru fingered the loose strand of yarn. "When are you going to be done?"
Keiko pulled a sewing needle out of her hair and began threading the loose yarn end through the eye. "Soon."
Baku watched her stitch intently. "Do I get slippers?"
"You don't need slippers, Mr. Bakunetsumaru."
"Oh..." Baku rested his head on his hand, watching Keiko even more. "Okay."
Keiko finally put down the finished product; a knit, white slipper. She pulled another, matching slipper out from her lap and gave the pair to Baku. "Give those to Shute. Tell him they're from me."
"Hai." Baku left, slippers in hand. Keiko smiled to herself and began knitting again. She suddenly felt cold metal on her opposite shoulder. She turned around.
Captain had laid his chin on her shoulder. "What are you doing?"
